These terms cover Screen Terminal: this website and the screening API at https://screen.unbackoffice.com. Screen Terminal is run by unbackoffice ("we", "us"). By signing in or using a key, you agree to them.

1. Who can use it

• Screen Terminal is for business use only.
• Sign in with your own work Google account. One account per person.
• If you use it for an organisation, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.

2. Free keys and referrals

• Before signing in, you can run a few searches on this site. They only say whether there is a potential match. We limit them per visitor and per network.
• Your first key comes with 100 screens. One screen is one name screened. Searches you run on this site while signed in use screens from your keys.
• When a new person signs in through your referral link and gets their first key, you earn a credit for another 100-screen key.
• Referring yourself, or creating extra accounts to collect credits, is not allowed. Credits gained that way can be removed.
• We limit how many free keys one company can hold.
• Free screens and credits have no cash value. We may change or end the free offer at any time. Screens already on an issued key stay usable unless the key is revoked under section 7.

3. Paid screens

You can buy more screens by messaging us on WhatsApp. We confirm the price and send an invoice. We add the screens to your key once the invoice is paid. Anything we agree in writing for a purchase applies on top of these terms.

4. Your key

• Keep your key secret. Use it from your own server, never in a browser or app that others can inspect.
• You are responsible for all use of your key. If it leaks, tell us and we will revoke it.
• A key works only for name screening (POST /v1/screen and POST /v1/screen/batch).

5. Acceptable use

Use Screen Terminal only for lawful screening, such as anti-money-laundering, sanctions, due diligence and risk checks. You must not:

• screen people without a lawful reason and a lawful basis under data protection law;
• copy, extract or rebuild our data in bulk, or use it to build a competing list or service;
• resell or republish results as a dataset;
• scrape, enumerate names, or get around rate limits, quotas or key scopes;
• share or publish keys, or use another person's account;
• probe, disrupt or attack the service.

6. Screening results

• Results are leads for your own review. They are not a finding that anyone is or is not a sanctioned person or a politically exposed person.
• Our data comes from public sources. It can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and matching can miss people or match the wrong person.
• Review every possible match yourself, especially sanctions matches. Do not make a decision with legal or similarly significant effect on a person based only on a result.
• You stay responsible for your own legal and regulatory obligations. We do not give legal advice.

7. Suspension and ending

We may limit, suspend or revoke a key or account if you break these terms, if we see abuse or a security risk, or if the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first. You can stop using Screen Terminal at any time and ask us to close your account.

8. Ownership

We own Screen Terminal, its software and our screening data. You keep what you send us. You may use the results for your own internal screening and compliance work.

9. No guarantee

Screen Terminal is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free or fit for a particular purpose. We may change the API or the service. We will try to give notice of changes that break existing integrations.

10. Liability

• We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill.
• Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in those 12 months, or EUR 100 if you paid nothing.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud.

11. Privacy

Our privacy notice explains what we collect and why.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will say so on this site. Using Screen Terminal after a change means you accept it.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and its courts have jurisdiction. This does not take away rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
